Festive.
Dance!
Her feet moved to time kept by her pulse. She couldn’t hear the drums, or the voices, or the others around her. She knew they were there, she could feel them, but they were somewhere far away. The other lads and maidens... the one that dragged her into the circle to begin with, though she might have been content to watch.
Not anymore. Now she wanted this, and it wasn’t a Go-Back dance, no, but what it lacked, it made up for, and she was eager to learn. The veil acted as her partner as the rhythm soaked her soul in undivided bliss and abandon.
It was warm. In her mind, the sand was the snow, but it was so different, so warm. Unlike the cold of eternal winter, everything here was warm. She didn’t miss the snow, or the trolls, or even the frozen mountains anymore. She didn’t miss bossy Zey, and even Kahvi was here, in a way.
... And the Stars...
Surrounded and alone in a strange way,
Yun danced with the stars.
